Single controller for both process and proportional valves

The multi-function Type 8611 is a cost-effective way to decentralise control in closed cooling loops. It offers the key advantage of operating process and proportional valves from one consolidated controller, with resultant benefits to the user of lower overall equipment and installation costs, and improved product quality. The Type 8611 also connects with electro-pneumatic servo systems for pneumatically-operated process control valves.

Integrating proportional/integral and cascaded temperature control within the Type 8611, together with dual indication of process values (eg temperature and flow), results in a controller that is claimed to be unparalleled in its field. In addition, the open system architecture of the unit's internal hardware and software design enables the system to be customised to the user's application.

The Type 8611 offers the benefit of working with pneumatically or electrically driven systems. Its compact 1/4-DIN design enables the unit to be installed as an integral part of the flow sensor or valve, or as a panel-mount or DIN-rail-mounted controller. The unit offers users the choice of 4-20mA, external frequency and PT100 (RTD) inputs, and the flexibility of four analogue or digital outputs.
