The Spring 2015 issue of the UK Industrial Vision Association's end-user newsletter, "Vision in Action' is now available online. This bumper 32-page issue is also available in printed form and is the largest ever produced by the Association. It contains special features on line scan technology and how recent developments have not only impacted on traditional web inspection applications, but also on a wide range of other applications.
The newsletter also features 11 application stories from industries as diverse as dentistry, dressmaking, automotive, healthcare, packaging and access control. Techniques covered include line scan imaging, 3D imaging, barcode reading and multi-camera installations. The publication also contains its usual mix of members' news, Association news, technical tips, event diary as well as a full member's directory.
UKIVA Chairman, Ian Alderton, comments: "In just one year the "Vision in Action' newsletter has grown from 24 pages to its present size, reflecting not only on the growing membership of the Association (now totalling over 30), but also on the wealth of expertise and experience that they have to offer, and the enthusiasm that the Association continues to have to promote the use of vision. This issue highlights a varied range of applications where vision has been able to solve customers' real world needs."
