Steel Service Centre buys Byspeed 3015 laser profiler
Christmas came early for Steel Service Centre, with the arrival of a new Byspeed 3015 laser profiler on 11 December 2006, taking SSC's investment in new technology from Bystronic to well over £2M.
The Byspeed, which has a constant laser power of up to 4.4kW with an acceleration of up to 3G, is 30 per cent faster than its predecessor, the Bystar, improving turnaround time and increasing productivity. The company says that this increase in production capacity and flexibility is helping to keep SSC at 'number one for laser profiling'.
January 2007 saw the introduction of a new Steel Service Centre office in Sunderland, which will enhance the organisation on a nationwide level. 2007 promises to be an exciting year for SSC with the expansion of the business and its potential for further growth over the coming years.
SSC will be exhibiting at the Southern Manufacturing Show.
