ST&L completes machinery safety audit for soft drinks company

ST&L Ltd has completed a major machinery safety audit project for an internationally-recognised manufacturer of soft drinks. The project involved auditing of bottling and canning line machinery across the UK, France, Belgium and The Netherlands, with 17 production facilities audited in total.

The auditing process was undertaken against corporate machinery safety standards but included reference to harmonised European machinery safety standards and Directives. Over 800 individual machines and machine assemblies have been audited.

A report format was created specifically for this client by ST&L using Microsoft Excel; this included pie charts, bar graphs and a compliance level scoring system to give an overall summary of compliance status and snag lists. Additional data analysis has also been provided by ST&L to indicate the top ten non-compliances across each individual site, as well as across the whole 17 sites.
