Strong, cost-effective DIN rail PCB housing supports
Hylec-APL is announcing the DIME/M series of cost-effective, high-quality DIN rail PCB housing supports. Suitable for PCBs measuring up to 72mm wide, the modules can be clipped together forming an open front DIN rail support for PCBs of between 20 and 177.5mm in length. Longer PCBs can be accommodated by adding extra base elements; for boards carrying heavy components such as transformers and relays, separate foot elements can be used to provide extra support strength.
DIME/M DIN rail PCB support modules are stronger than other products available on the market thanks to thicker wall sections incorporating supporting ribs, claims Hylec-APL. PCB support is a built-in design feature via the end plates and an improved clipping mechanism aids rigidity and simplifies assembly. End sections incorporating integral feet, available for top hat rail designs, reduce assembly time and the number of stock lines required. Separate feet (DIME/M/FE0000SS) are available that fit both G and top hat rail sections.
