Support arm system configurator tool saves time

Rittal is expanding its range of well-established configurators for the Comfort Panel and Optipanel command panels by adding another engineering tool: the new Configurator for support arm systems. Using this online tool, customers can quickly configure the CP-C support arm system and the CP-S, CP-L, CP-XL support arm systems.

The system configurator guides users through the process. Depending on the system configuration of the jib length, enclosure weight, cable cross-section and design, the utility proposes an ideally co-ordinated support arm system for the specified requirements. The integrated, intelligent plausibility test permits a completely error-free system assembly to be configured.

Very quickly users are presented with a system proposal that suits the human-machine interface requirements. The data defined during the configuration process also make it possible to create an exact parts list, thereby making it easier for users to streamline orders and plan entire plants. In a next step, the 3D CAD models of the articles contained in the parts list can be downloaded.

As a whole, this means a quicker, more efficient processes and a greater degree of planning confidence.
