Sure-Flex elastomeric couplings available from stock

Sure-Flex elastomeric couplings are suitable for use where low cost, high flexibility and vibration dampening are primary concerns. Quick and easy installation is assured, as the design has no bolts, gaskets, covers or seals; no special tools are required. Alignment is simply checked with a straight edge placed against the outside of the precision-machined flanges.

Characterised by their clean, dependable and quiet performance, these products need neither lubrication nor maintenance, as the components are wear-free and the design is immune from the ingress of abrasive dirt and moisture.

Flexible and versatile

Sure-Flex couplings use a synthetic rubber or Hytrel thermoplastic flex element to transmit torque - up to 8.2kNm - and to accommodate shaft misalignment. Indeed, they have exceptional torsional flexibility and their four-way flexing action absorbs virtually all types of shock, vibration, misalignment and end float.

'Fatigue test to failure' results are claimed to confirm that the Sure-Flex polymeric flex elements last twice as long as the nearest competitive coupling and up to 30 times longer than the remaining competitive models. As a result, these couplings are proving extremely popular in all manner of rotating machinery across a wide spectrum of industry.

Typically Sure-Flex couplings are found in systems involving pumps, fans, blowers, compressors, mixers, electric motors and conveyors. Flex elements are available in a choice of four materials or compounds and in various shape configurations to suit different applications.
