Telford based supplier has a handle on Truckman Tops

One of the UK’s best-known brands in the automotive aftermarket industry is Truckman, and the company’s new Truckman Classic hardtop for the Isuzu D-Max now features Vector T3 locking handles supplied by Industrilas.

Located in Dudley, West Midlands, Truckmans’ 139,000 sq/ft manufacturing facility produces an extensive range of quality hard tops for pickup trucks made by leading brands including Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen and Isuzu and is a recommended fit by these OEMs. The Vector T3 locking handles for the pickup tops are supplied to Truckman ex-stock from the Industrilas GB site in nearby Telford, and are available in either stainless steel or as zinc chrome plated items.

Truckman offers bespoke pickup tops for both private individuals as well as fleet users. In addition to the necessary durability required for the application, there was another important factor in the company’s decision to specify Vector T3 locking handles. Truckman offers its customers a choice of keyed-alike or keyed-to-differ access solutions when they buy tops for their pickups. Some customers choose the keyed-alike solution so that access to the bed area can be achieved as part of the vehicle central locking system, whereas others prefer to have separate keys for accessing or securing the pickup bed contents. Vector T3 handles from Industrilas can be specified to suit each preference, allowing Truckman to manufacture tops with either version as required.

Commenting on the company’s decision to specify Vector T3 handles, Truckman managing director Richard Langman says: “Reliable, dependable access coupled with a high level of security are important considerations for our customers. Many of our Truckman tops are used in safety critical applications, and they are also expected to endure years of tough work, often in extremes of weather.

“We manufacture a premium product so we use only the best materials and hardware in our tops: the Vector T3 handles look good, perform well and help us maintain our reputation for quality and durability.”

Vector T3 is just one range in a significant portfolio of access hardware products offered by Industrilas. “Our range is amongst the most extensive available from a European manufacturer, covering hinges, handles, locks and latches manufactured to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001,” says Barry George of Industrilas GB. “We’re REACH and RoHS compliant and also meet the demanding standards of the rail industry too, with solutions that meet DIN EN 61373.”

Most products are available ex-stock from the company’s Telford premises.
