The need for speed… and automation

See Minitec at MachineBuilding.Live, 4 October 2023, on stand 14

Bringing parts and components to the right place and at the right time so they can be processed, assembled or equipped can be a logistical nightmare, especially when multiple lines are involved. Minitec has created a conveyor system which has met all the requirements for a European motorcar manufacturer.

The specialist conveyor is designed for automated and continuous movement of items along a belt for assembly. The belt is fitted with studs which allows our customer to fit their own nests for their specific components.

The base support frame consists of 90 x 180 Minitec aluminium profiles and is mounted on brake-enabled castors for locking the unit in position. The stands to which the conveyor is mounted are height adjustable using Baumeister and Schack lifters.

The assembly conveyor is designed as an essential part of continuous handling equipment. The length of the assembly conveyor was manufactured to be six metres in length and is also available in four and five meters, and extendable to 12 metres.

The conveyor is fitted with a 1.2m belt across the entire unit, driven with three-phase gear motors running at 230 V 3 phase. The conveying speed at a nominal frequency of 50 Hz is 1.5 m/min.

Minitec offers a wide range of standard and specialist conveyor systems with which we can meet practically all requirements in the areas of factory automation, material flow, material handling and intralogistics.
