Flowsort, part of the FATH Group that offers modular plug-n-play sorting solutions, has unveiled the latest 24V product to join its range: the X-Flow 90 transfer unit.
Like all of Flowsort's offerings it is an open platform solution in terms of both software and hardware integration, which means that the X-Flow 90 units can be easily added to conveying systems or incorporated within machine tending stations. It also utilises the same efficient 24V pulse gear drive motors and has ready-to-use function blocks for all common PLC systems.
The highly engineered +/-90 degree transfer units have been developed to offer several advantages. Signature blue internally guided belts provide precise product movement and eliminate belt misalignment. Manufactured from a high-grip composite material means the belts also enhance traction and reduce slippage, improving overall operational efficiency.
Available in multiple widths and lengths, the X-Flow 90's compact and lightweight design still boasts an impressive 50kg load capacity. The ability to configure both the side mounting flanges and belt assembly layout also means they can fit on to a wide range of supporting frames and accept packages as small as 150x150mm.
Adrian Stewart, Flowsort UK product manager, states: "The smooth transfer of goods which require a change of lane or orientation means X-Flow 90 allows an integrator to offer a reliable and flexible solution. Combined with the other Flowsort products this can make expanding capacity and increasing throughput simple and affordable. Indeed, the fact that all Flowsort units offer plug-n-play compatibility has proved invaluable to many of the customers that have specified them over the last few years."
He adds: "For many users these 90 degree transfer units can service a significant number of their requirements in terms of speed, package sizes, efficiency and compatibility. Added to Flowsort's core principles of availability and modularity means that integrators can therefore concentrate on more complicated areas of a project to add value."
