Schunk is expanding the smaller end of its range of DPZ-plus three-finger centric grippers by adding the new 40 and 50 series. The base jaws of the sealed three-finger centric grippers for small components consists of two sections: a circular guide with a lip seal for a permanent, reliable seal, and a sturdy multi-tooth guide for the precision handling of rough and dirty workpieces. Despite the high moment-bearing capacity of the base jaws, the DPG-plus is sealed to IP67. A vent hole prevents pressure differentials arising - which can draw dirt through the seals into the gripper – so that the gripper remains constantly sealed, even if fully immersed.
The circular piston drive adopted from the PZN-plus has a gripping force of 230N in the DPZ-plus 40 and 290N in the DPZ-plus 50, with strokes of 2.5 or 4mm per finger. The combination of internal multi-tooth guide and external circular guide is extremely stable and ensures that the DPZ-plus 40/50 performs its task with permanence and precision.
The air supply can also be connected directly without hoses, and the gripper can be fastened on one side in two screw-on directions.
