SMC Pneumatics is celebrating a third consecutive ranking in a list of the world's 100 most innovative companies, compiled by publishing giant Forbes. No other pneumatics manufacturer was included in the listing.
SMC, who beat global brands including Apple, Unilever and Adidas to rank at number 61 in the list, will showcase some of the products which helped earn it the accolade at the Fluid Power and Systems Expo at the National Exhibition Centre, which the company will also co-sponsor (8-10 April 2014, Birmingham).
Pete Humphreys, SMC UK's Product Promotions Manager, says: "The fact that we are a consistent name on the Forbes list is testament to our continual investment in R&D, scheduled to increase by a further 2 per cent in 2014 for the second year running. Our international network of technical support centres and highly specialist engineers, together with our understanding of our users' needs reinforces our position as a leading player in the pneumatics industry with a well-deserved reputation for innovation excellence."
