Tom Parker Ltd celebrates 50th anniversary in business

To help mark the milestone of its 50th anniversary in business, Tom Parker Ltd is primary sponsor of the Fluid Power & Systems show, being held at the NEC, from the 5-7 April. It will also launch its new product catalogue, which contains a comprehensive range of industrial, process, hydraulic and pneumatic products.

UK sales manager and BFPDA board member Seb Cole shared his thoughts on why it is important to be a part of the show: “Everyone at Tom Parker Ltd is committed to providing the highest levels of service to all our customers and this is one of the many reasons for our ongoing success. Our focus has always been on supplying high quality, competitively priced product ranges. We now have more than 36,000 product lines in our 2022-2023 product catalogue and distribute more than 80 brands that span right across pneumatics, hydraulics, industrial and process markets."

Meeting customers in person, strengthening relationships

Adds Cole: “The FPS show provides us with a great opportunity to meet our customers in person, further strengthen relationships and exhibit many of our innovative products directly to the decision makers in the fluid power market. Visitors to our stand can raise any technical issues they may have, and we will provide impartial, expert advice and product solutions. We particularly relish a challenge so why not put us to the test? We pride ourselves on our ability to source complete turnkey product solutions to the most challenging of fluid power projects.”

Tom Parker Ltd will have working demonstrations of key product ranges and product displays from their core brands, CPC, CEJN, CDC, E.MC, Fastest, Sicomat and Master Pneumatic. Many of its highly skilled workforce are long-serving employees who have a wealth of expert knowledge and will be available to offer technical advice on the company’s stand – D42. The team are said to be looking forward to meeting their customers, national UK product distributors and interacting with many potential clients face-to-face after the show’s four- year Covid-related hiatus.

Company history

Tom Parker first established the business in 1972 to distribute the innovative quick connect couplings by Cejn of Sweden to the UK pneumatic and hydraulic market. “Tom Parker Ltd went from strength to strength, soon acquiring the UK distribution rights for products from American connection specialists CPC – Colder Products Company – both of which the company is proud to work with to this day,” it states.

In 1999, Tom Parker Ltd started to produce product catalogues aimed at distribution, OEM and end users: building up a wide resale network spanning the UK. Many of these companies have the Tom Parker catalogue personalised with their company details, along with the option to have a clone or fully bespoke website. “Now there are only two independent catalogue providers for distributors left in the UK fluid power network; we are enormously proud to be one of these.” states Richard Parker, sales director.
