Igus is promoting its tribo tape liner, which can be used to line a variety of tribologically stressed surfaces and shapes to optimise transportation tasks for machine beds, material handling and other applications requiring very wear-resistant properties. Fabricated from the igus iglidur A160 and V400 material, the tape offers a low coefficient of friction, and is lubrication and maintenance-free.
The iglidur A160 material is FDA compliant for use in food and pharmaceutical manufacturing, and is now available from stock in 20, 50 and 500mm widths. Other tape widths can be cut to order upon request.
The easy-to-work with material can also be cut using scissors, has an optional adhesive backing for quick and easy installation, adding just 0.15mm to the standard tape thicknesses of 0.5 and 1mm. The low space requirement allows for use in an unlimited number of space restricted applications. Operating temperatures for the A160 is up to 90degC and up to 200degC for the media-resistant V400 material.
