Automation Supplies is extending its range of round and square tube connecting clamps and joints for making small or large frames from steel, stainless steel and aluminium tube.
This system is now being extended to include stainless steel tube fittings and connectors for the food, pharmaceutical and other clean industries and applications. One new component is the two-way connector clamp GN131. Already available in aluminium, this clamp is now offered in stainless steel.
The clamping bores of the GN 131 two-way connector clamps are machined to suit construction tubing GN 990 or DIN 2391, DIN 2395 and DIN 2462, respectively. To complement the clamps, the DIN 985 nuts are either zinc plated or stainless steel to suit the screws. The connector clamps are fastened using a screw and nut and, in the case of the hexagon screw and clamping levers, a spacer tube is added. They are available as screw sets GN 911.1 - GN 911.6 but they can also be supplied as individual items.
Flexibility in manufacturing means that these clamps can be specially manufactured to custom bores. The standard tube diameters available are 12, 14, 16 and 18mm. Tube clamping can be specified via the use of cap screws or adjusting handles in steel and stainless steel. This component can also be adapted to be used with the linear actuator system that forms part of the tube frame clamp system.
A full catalogue for the tube connection system is available for download or in print from the Automation Supplies website: www.asengineering.co.uk/index.html.
