TV SD Product Service is launching the mCom+ machinery safety risk assessment management system for OEMs and end users. The mCom+ software is available worldwide in two formats: a bespoke server-based version for larger multi-site organisations, and a cloud-based browser version that is a cost-effective option for managing risk assessments.
With up-to-date support to help users meet their obligations relating to both CE marking (Machinery Directive) and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), mCom+ provides guidance throughout the compliance process. A simple checklist system ensures that no vital steps are missed, with a final report generating a prioritised action list for any areas of non-compliance.
The mCom+ package includes software that simplifies the risk assessment process, backed-up with support from TV SD's engineers who will train machinery owners in both software use and legislative requirements. At the end of each year, a mentoring visit from TV SD ensures that the software is still being used effectively to streamline the ongoing risk assessment process.
Remote access to mCom+ data via a browser means that managers benefit from an immediate overview of the status of the entire machinery portfolio across multiple sites, while personnel can simultaneously access relevant reports to action jobs.
Neil Dyson, Business Line Manager for Machinery Safety at TV SD Product Service, says: "The compliance failures we see on site are often due to a lack of appropriate internal expertise to do an in-depth and correct assessment of all machinery. Through the support from our team, and the mCom+ software, machinery OEMs and end users will be able to create a more effective internal process that successfully integrates risk assessment into everyday working practices. A risk assessment procedure will no longer be something that is completed, and then put on a shelf and forgotten."
