IDS uEye LE Gigabit Ethernet board level cameras are now available from Stemmer Imaging in colour and monochrome 5 megapixel resolution versions. Measuring just 45 x 45 mm, the uEye LE is claimed to be one of the smallest board level Gigabit Ethernet cameras currently on the market. At full resolution (2560 x 1920 pixels) both models can operate at 14 frames per second, with data transfer over cable lengths of up to 100m.
The monochrome versions feature Aptina's established high-sensitivity MT9P031 monochrome sensor, making them suitable for applications that require high detail, such as metrology. Rolling and global start shutter modes are provided, producing sharp, low-noise images across a range of applications.
The colour versions utilise Aptina's MT9P006 sensor featuring 'A-Pix' technology to increase sensitivity, colour fidelity and saturation, making them an affordable alternative to many CCD sensors for demanding colour imaging applications. By using the area-of-interest function, 1080p full HD video can be streamed at 30 frames per second.
Features that ease integration include trigger and flash fuctions, two general-purpose I/O and an I2C-Bus for controlling external devices. An internal image memory of 60MB for decoupling image acquisition and transfer make the camera an excellent choice for industrial applications.
The versatile GigE uEye LE models are available without a lens holder or with a C/CS-mount or an M12 lens holder for inexpensive S mount compact micro-video lenses.
