UK Machine Vision Technology Forum to be held at Silverstone

Stemmer Imaging, in conjunction with the European Imaging Academy, has announced that registration has opened for the Machine Vision Technology Forum being held at Silverstone Wing Exhibition and Conference Centre in the UK on 22 May 2014. This event will be based on the highly successful version held in Germany in November 2013, which attracted more than 400 visitors. Suitable for both machine vision experts and 'newbies', the Silverstone event includes:

UK Machine Vision Technology Forum to be held at Silverstone

  • 40 seminars organised in six parallel tracks
  • Taster sessions for European Imaging Academy training
  • Hands-on workshops with 2D and 3D vision systems
  • An exhibition with over 25 leading machine vision manufacturers

Mark Williamson, Director of Corporate Market Development at Stemmer Imaging, comments: "This is likely to be the biggest dedicated machine vision event of its kind held in the UK for many years. There will be a wide range of informative talks covering all aspects of machine vision, from introductory to advanced user level. Around 40 seminars will be run over five parallel 'tracks' so that visitors can choose the blend of talks that best meet their needs. The talks will focus on learning rather than specific product presentations. An additional 'hands-on' track will allow people to configure a vision system themselves. At the same time, over 25 machine vision manufacturers will be exhibiting, running hands-on demonstrations of hardware and software that you can dip in and out of between presentations!

"Those who attended our open day in 2012 will know the value of meeting industry experts in one UK venue to gain insights into the latest vision technology. The technology forum builds on this event and harnesses content from the successful forum in held recently in Germany. I am very excited to bring such an event to the UK."

Added attractions will be a talk by Richard Noble OBE, leader of the Bloodhound project team and previous land speed record holder, plus there will be a chance to enter a prize draw for two tickets to the British Grand Prix. Bloodhound SSC is the exciting British project to build a jet- and rocket-powered car to travel at 1000 mph and which will be attempting to set a new world land speed record in 2015. As one of the sponsors of the Bloodhound project, Stemmer Imaging is supplying and integrating up to 11 cameras at strategic points on the car.
