Unitemp is introducing larger walk-in temperature and humidity chambers. These have been developed to accommodate large volumes such as solar panels, PV modules, electrical equipment, as automobiles, automotive components and other equipment. The chambers comply with the requirements for the complete certification for tested products to IEC or UL standards.
Each chamber is constructed from high-quality steel with hermetically welded seams and stainless steel interiors. In the case of the larger chambers, panellised chambers are built with interlocking insulated panels for ease of assembly. Solid construction walk-ins have a temperature range of -70 to 150degC to accommodate extreme testing, and can have temperature cycling faster than 10degC/min, with a relative humidity range of 10 to 95 per cent. In addition, the chambers have full opening doors, with stronger standard floors (capable of accepting 363kg carts), and a rigid frame for strength.
The controls are mounted on the side of the chamber, with an intuitive touchscreen LCD display. The instrumentation features three levels of overheat protection, a running time meter, an audible alarm, computer interface and software, and event relays for interfacing with other test equipment.
Unitemp says its new larger walk-in temperature and humidity chambers are suitable for humidity freeze and temperature cycling tests of large loads. This versatile range complements the company's extensive range of test and monitoring chambers, while it also has the expertise to customise chambers to order.
