Unitemp offers Cofomegra corrosion test chambers

The chambers primarily fulfil three test functions, which consist of a salt spray facility where a corrosive solution is turned into a vapour mist through a nozzle located in the centre of the chamber. A fog-diffusing tower distributes the fog over the entire test zone. The compressed air required for fog production is heated and saturated with moisture in a pressurised humidifier.

In condensation water tests, the test chamber is filled with demineralised water that is then heated and evaporated so that it condenses on the surface of the samples.

Finally the cyclic corrosion test is made possible by combining a salt spray environment with condensation humidity and air drying.

All chambers are constructed with 10mm thickness polypropylene and have a 110-litre salt solution reservoir. Incorporated is a large glass door for easy sample loading and viewing. The simple-to-use control panel is on the top right hand side, while the salt storage tank is on the left with easy access for maintenance.

The 400-litre models have test chamber measurements of 800 x 700 x 800mm with the 1000 litre model measuring 1100 x 800 x 1140mm. On the enhanced models there are 15 different test programmes with keyboard inputs and an easy-to-use menu. Test status is continuously displayed on the large, four-line LCD display.
