IO-Link is a standardised communication protocol which bridges the gap between sensors and automation systems, connecting sensors and PLCs via IO-Link communication and Fieldbus network. With global sensor specialists Telemecanique Sensors' IO-Link Master it's easy to achieve sensors' full potential and remove complexity with simplified architecture, automatic parameter settings and error-free integration options.

Costs are reduced with simplified installation and reductions in the number of cables and sensor types required. Commissioning times too are shortened thanks to the rapid configuration and standard cables, plus it's easy to increase machine uptime and productivity via the continuous monitoring of device and sensor performances. The IO-Link Master interface between sensors and PLCs enables high-speed information exchanges, sharing data, events and notifications from sensors directly to the controller and to the cloud via OPC UA and MQTT protocols. In addition, Telemecanique Sensors' IO-Link Master boasts high resistance, 8 configurable Class A ports, integrated monitoring sensors and daisy chain possibility for power and network.

Key features and benefits:

  • Integrated Solution: One overall solution includes the IO-Link Master, Configuration Software, Function Blocks for top PLCs and a full range of power and communication cabling (L-coded, A-coded and D-coded)
  • Easy to Integrate: Save up to two weeks of integration time through Telemecanique Sensors' data function blocks for top PLCs. Easy cloud connection with integrated OPC US Server and MQTT protocol
  • Easy to Install: The Daisy Chain option for power and communication simplifies installation, leading to 25-30% cost savings on cables. Effortless installation is a given with the Plug & Play sensors
  • Easy to Use: Multiple configurations tools apply such as standalone software and a web configurator. Download and install the right IODD file in a single click 'Integrated IODD' finder
  • Effective Power Supply: Two galvanically-separated power supply lines up to 16A
  • 8 Class A Ports: Up to 3A current output per port and up to 16 DIOs
  • High Resistance: IP67 robust, light-weight body, operational in -20degC to 70degC temperature, input voltage -25%/+30% (18V DC - 31.2V DC)
  • Integrated Sensors for Monitoring: Monitors current, voltage and temperature for each port plus sends alerts and events based on the sent limit. Diagnosis information and events over OPC UA client plus internal current overload protection

The IO-Link Master partners seamlessly with Telemecanique Sensors' photoelectric sensors in applications such as packaging, material handling, material working, and food and beverage.

Available through numerous distributors in the UK and Ireland, the IO-Link Master is backed by a network of technical support. Find out more about the specifics of the range at IO-Link Product Selector or check out the product video at iO-Link Sensors: Save Time and Improve productivity.
