Vacon launches AC drives app
Vacon UK is launching an app for the drives industry. The Vacon AC Drives app is available from the Apple store and offers a source of easy accessible information about VSDs.
Compatible with iPad2 or newer models, running IOS7 or higher, the app helps guide users through the world of AC drives. Information on products, services, specific industries, case studies, brochures, installation and application manuals are available at a click of a button via the free app.
In addition, the Vacon AC Drives app introduces a new type of content - Vaconpedia. Users will be able to find an encyclopaedia of core AC drives technologies and features.
An added benefit is that engineers downloading the app will also be able to integrate their own notes and documents to standard Vacon information sheets. This makes for easy, on-the-go maintenance and repair reports.
Rodney Aumann, Operations and Support Manager at Vacon Pacific, who has also been one of the test users for the app, says: "The Vacon AC Drives app is very handy.
