Variohm Holdings acquired by Acal plc
With effect from 20 January 2017, Acal plc has acquired the business of Variohm Holdings Ltd and its four operating businesses:
- Heason Technology Ltd
- Herga Technology Ltd
- Ixthus Instrumentation Ltd
- Variohm EuroSensor Ltd
Acal plc is a 300 million business listed on the London Stock Exchange, specialising in the electronics industry. Under new ownership each business will continue to operate independently under its own brand and will remain 100 per cent focused on increasing sales for their existing suppliers; additionally, this acquisition will give each company access to potential new customers.
Acal recognises that Variohm Holdings is a very successful business. This is thanks to its highly skilled and motivated workforce, their established and loyal customers and its extensive range of products, both manufactured within the group and sourced from the industry's leading manufacturers.
Acal is confident that this acquisition will be beneficial for all of Holdings staff, customers and suppliers and the key message is "Business as normal". The senior management team will remain with the businesses following the acquisition.
