VHS Hydraulic components acquires Neilson Hydraulics

Sheffield-based VHS Hydraulic Components Ltd, who specialise in producing power packs and supplying a range of hydraulic components, has strengthened its position in the UK hydraulic market with the recent acquisition of Neilson Hydraulics, which is also based in the city in close proximity to the Advanced Manufacturing Park.

The recent acquisition of Neilson Hydraulics is a large step forward in the group's growth plan, adding some of the industry's top brands to the group's portfolio and complimented well with the technical backup from Neilson Hydraulics. Given the extra facilities within the group, VHS Hydraulic Components Ltd are now able to offer customers full in-house cylinder production and modification, along with industrial electronics (drives and controls) and full system design. The wealth of knowledge brought by over 30 years of experience through former Neilson Hydraulics MD, John Yarnall, who has now taken on the new position of General Manager at the firm and the company's dedicated team will be key to the group's future.

VHS has worked closely with Neilson Hydraulics and VHS's sister company Parmafluid (based in Parma, Italy) over the past few months on this project to ensure a smooth transition. The group has access to stock exceeding £5 million. Parmafluid is one of the leading Italian distributors in the hydraulic market servicing many sectors worldwide.
