LG Motion will be on stand T67 at Southern Manufacturing 2012 to highlight moving coil linear slide actuators from SMAC Europe Ltd, as well as its its range of high-performance distributed motion controls from PMDi inc.
SMAC precision electric actuators are fully programmable for force, position and speed, and may be used where exceptionally high speeds are required, or where very low speed is needed in conjunction with sub-micron accuracy and repeatability. The technology suits demanding applications for positioning, measuring and inspection across manufacturing, test and research - particularly where 100 per cent verification is required.
PMDi is a well established North American designer and manufacturer of machine controls, specialising in high-speed distributed motion control, data transfer and acquisition. Its Polaris motion and machine control system runs on the real-time Gbit/s Mercury network and includes multi-axis motion controllers, servo amplifiers for brushed and brushless motors, as well as high-bandwidth galvanometers and voice coil actuators, plus digital and analogue I/O modules. Polaris complements LG Motion's comprehensive range of positioning mechanics and in-house machine design expertise to conceptualise and produce customised automated subsystems for applications across industry and research.
A full selection of LG Motion's positioning stages will be on display at Southern Manufacturing 2012, including the LG series high-precision linear, rotary and vertical lift stages for multi-axis positioning, and the UniSlide, BiSlide and XSlide linear positioning stages for general-purpose positioning applications.
LG Motion will also highlight a selection of motion control components from other distribution partners including linear bearings from Schneeberger, specialist motors from Empire Magnetics and high-precision linear and rotary position encoders from Heidenhain.
