The Magnasafe range of safety switches from Mechan Controls comes in a wide range of housings, fixing centres, cable lengths, quick disconnects and leaded quick disconnects.
With various contact configurations available, Mechan says the Magnasafe range is one of the more commonly used adaptive safety switches on the market. The contacts vary from 2 normally open and 1 normally closed, 2 normally open, 1 normally open and 1 normally closed, 1 normally open and 3 normally open.
With such a wide range of contacts, the Magnasafe range can be used with the majority of safety relays and safety PLCs on the market, regardless of make and model. The Magnasafe safety switch housings come in plastic ABS or 316 stainless steel, and both are rated to IP67 and IP69K for dust ingress and high-pressure chemical cleaning.
A wide variety of housing shapes and sizes allow like-for-like replacements from most competitor switches, making the Magnasafe range versatile and accommodating to the needs of the user.
A range of cable lengths up to 20 metres and also quick disconnects and leaded quick disconnects, accompanied by fixing centres to match all industry competitors, make installing a Mechan safety switch easy and simple.
The Magnasafe range of safety switches has a good tolerance for misalignment which is very beneficial within the daily use of opening and closing machine guards. After a period of time, the machine guard may start to sag or buffers wear down, the misalignment tolerance on the Magnasafe range accounts for this.
