Waterproof trunking system

For many years the choice of cable management solution for cables located at low level and subjected to potential water of dust ingress has been limited to conduit. A well proven solution providing a high degree of mechanical protection while offering a typical ingress protection of IP66. Unfortunately, lengths are typically limited to a working diameter of 32m OD, require a good level of mechanical and electrical installation knowledge and require specialist cutting, bending and threading tools.

In recent years an alternative option has been to use wire basket tray. While cables are exposed the system is typically easier to install without specialist tools; however, with exposed cables come a different set of mechanical and electrical issues associated with hygiene, glanding and aesthetics, meaning it may not be suitable in certain environments.

IP66 rated trunking

Lasnek has developed a waterproof and dust proof stainless steel trunking system to address the issues created by either basket or conduit. Available from 65mm through to 200m square, each individual length comes with an access cover and welded end flanges. Supplied in set lengths ranging from 300mm to 3000mm, each length simply bolts together using the supplied silicon gasket - no cutting or specialist tools are required.

With the captive length cover, cables are easily accessible for maintenance or future cable additions. Cable Glands for entry and exit can be installed on any of the three faces maintaining system integrity rating when using similarly rated components.

Fully welded fittings allow the installer to purchase one type for any installation configuration required. Tested to IP66 and UL listed to UL870 / NEMA 4X the Lasnek waterproof solution provides total washdown protection while providing cable protection from damage or debris ingress.
