Weidmüller Ltd appoints Simon Goodwin as new Managing Director

Simon Goodwin has been appointed as as Managing Director of Weidmüller Ltd in the UK, with effect from 1 December 1 2015. Simon has a wealth of experience with previous successful management appointments at renowned global companies including Omron Electronics and B&R Industrial Automation.

In his new position he will have overall responsibility for developing and driving business forward, providing strategic leadership and overseeing all the company's activities in the UK and Ireland.

Speaking about his appointment, Simon Goodwin says "I am looking forward to working with the experienced teams at Weidmuller to develop business in the fields of Industrial automation and solutions, factory automation and device manufacturing. We have some significant new product ranges which we will be launching in 2016, and our return to the Drives and Controls show is a statement of our intent to further develop our presence in these markets."

Weidmuller supports customers and partners around the world with products, systems and services in the industrial environment of power, signal and data. The company focuses on the development of innovative, sustainable and useful products and systems for its customers' individual needs.
