Weidmüller showcases new Industrial Ethernet Router at PPMA

Weidmüller will be attending the PPMA, the premier UK machinery exhibition being held at the NEC in Birmingham from 25-27 September. Specialist staff will be on hand to demonstrate the new Weidmüller Industrial Ethernet Router along with a range of infrastructure components, enabling data communication between Ethernet-enabled devices in industrial automation. Leave behind your business card, and you could also be in with a chance to win a GPS satellite navigation system.

The new Industrial Ethernet Router ensures that different networks interoperate in unison and with top-level security. It enables access to components from around the world through encrypted VPNs using OpenVPN as well as IPSec technologies, thus ensuring top-level security with minimum effort. The firewall has configurable filter functions that adapt automatically to the network traffic it sees.

On the stand, visitors will also be able to see developments in Weidmüller technology and discuss their specific needs with our industry experts. Highlights include:

Sensor Actuator Interfaces and Accessories - for capturing and transmitting digital and analogue process signals to higher-level control systems, plus industrial connectors and components, focusing on field applications with high IP protection classes.

Electronics components - including power supplies to supply power to applications in industrial and process automation. Relay and SSR modules for switching, amplifying, separating or converting digital signals between field devices and the controller, the new Termseries, Termopto and MicroOpto will also be on show. In addition visitors can view analogue signal conditioners for capturing, normalising and monitoring analogue process signals in both standard and hazardous area applications. Lightning and surge protection devices will be on display to help increase machine reliability and a range of PLC interfaces, the quick reliable and flexible way to wire automation signals to the controller.

Electrical connectivity - including Weidmüller's terminal blocks - DIN rail-mounted copper-based connectors featuring all standard wire connection methods. Additionally the Rockstar Heavy Duty Connectors product line which includes standard and modular options for future-orientated, secure, simple and time-saving assembly of machinery will be on the stand. Visitors will also be able to view a range of enclosures and cable entry systems encompassing stainless steel, aluminium and GRP.

Identification Systems - a system based line of marking and labelling materials for components, cables and equipment. These systems are complemented by printing systems, including the PrintJet PRO with high-quality colour printing that is razor sharp and resistant to external environmental influences and a range of software.

Tools - a whole variety of Weidmüller's premium tools for professional industrial use with a focus on cutting, stripping and crimping will be on display.
