White paper on programming for performing automation tasks
Jetter AG has published a white paper entitled "High-Level Language Versus PLC Languages in Automation Technology."
There are two fundamental, yet very different approaches to programming for performing automation tasks: either a classical PLC language or a high-level language, such as JetSym STX, is used. The white paper just published by Jetter AG highlights the development of classical PLC languages and the high-level language for automation applications.
Using programming examples, the white paper explains the various philosophies and key differences. It also points out factors that influence which language or technology is or should be used.
