Intelligent valve islands for process automation applications

Bürkert has increased pilot valve installation options with the launch of the Type 8653, an intelligent pneumatic valve island. The device is designed for installation outside a control cabinet, bringing the valve island closer to process control valves and actuators. Meeting the needs of process automation applications in the pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, cosmetics and water treatment sectors, the Type 8653 offers a fieldbus interface and an ingress protection rating of IP65/67.

Load-sensing bearings accelerate product development

SKF is releasing the world's first commercial load-sensing bearing based on its proprietary fibre optic sensing technology; a technology, as earlier announced, being part of a long-term strategic technical product development. The first product streamlines the creation of rotating products such as pumps, using angular contact ball bearings. In it SKF enables real-time measurement of bearing loads using fibre optic sensing.

Improved mounting system for faster integration of motors

IDS launches industrial cameras with 20 MP Sony sensor

When the smallest details are important for applications, high-resolution images with particularly low noise are required. Both are features that make the Sony IMX183 20 MP sensor stand out. IDS now offers this sensor in the uEye CP camera family with USB3 Vision interface. The new models are well-suited for challenging image evaluations and are also very compact thanks to their dimensions of only 29 × 29 × 29 millilitres.

EMKA introduces high-quality 100 per cent EPDM gasket profiles

EMKA UK is successively converting the material of their self-clamping gasket profiles to single-piece mouldings in EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), replacing the previous two-part glued assembly of EPDM and PVC. This means that EMKA gaskets have a significantly improved quality as the new mono-moulding has a broader thermal application range with higher resistance to weathering, UV radiation and acids, making the new sections particularly durable.
