Lenze's i550 protec drive has IP66 protection and IO-Link

The successful i500 frequency inverter range now also has a decentralised variant. Well-protected with IP66 and well-connected with IO-Link, the i550 protec sets out to conquer the wide range of decentralised drive tasks. Lenze will start by marketing this new series with a power range of up to 2.2kW and has planned the phased expansion up to 75kW.

Robust miniature controller for inductive displacement sensors

Micro-Epsilon is introducing a miniature controller for inductive displacement sensors. The new induSENSOR MSC7401 controller is designed to operate with LVDT and LDR measuring gauges and displacement sensors, which are primarily used for measuring displacement, distance, position, oscillation and vibration. This offers high application versatility for measurement tasks in automation, machine building, quality control, test benches, hydraulics and automotive technologies.

Smart condition monitoring with no extra sensors

The release of CVB 2019 introduces new APIs to provide an innovative way of developing machine vision systems with Common Vision Blox, together with an impressive range of new tools. These tools provide functionality for hyperspectral and polarisation imaging, as well as OPC UA machine to machine communication capability for Industry 4.0 requirements. In addition it is now possible to develop machine learning systems on embedded platforms. Object recognition speeds have been greatly increased, as have video sequence recording speeds.

New version of PSL Datatrack improves automation and ease of use

The latest version of PSL Datatrack production control software is now available. 227 Wishlist ideas have been satisfied in this release, adding 131 new configuration options which now total in excess of 1300. New SMARC 2.0 CPU modules feature NXP i.MX8M processors

IBASE Technology, a manufacturer of application-specific embedded computing platforms, is launching the RM-N8M Series SMARC 2.0 Computer-on-Modules that use 64-bit NXP i.MX8M application processors with ARM technologies for industrial and transportation computing applications. Measuring only 82 x 50mm, the new RM-N8M SMARC (Smart Mobility ARChitecture) series targets lower-power and small form-factor systems and features high flexibility in terms of platform design and customisation for end-user applications for smart factory, imaging, machine vision, gateway, in-flight entertainment and rolling stock applications, while reducing development and accelerating time to market.
