The Baldwin aftermarket range includes new additions to the EnduraPanel series of air filters. Ongoing development is a feature of the range, with two new products being added to the portfolio as part of this announcement.

Cover stays and door stops counteract wind and gravity

EMKA is promoting a range of cover stays and door stops to tackle the problem that many doors and access panels have a large surface area - easily caught by wind and able to generate a lot of force. This makes maintenance or installation/updates a difficult problem and potentially a painful one. Signal conditioning modules permit longer cable runs

Red Lion Controls is releasing their new signal conditioner product line-up today. Red Lion's full range of signal conditioners boost signal strength while allowing for longer cable runs through industrial environments. When used as a converter, these devices can translate and incorporate signals into existing PLC architectures, eliminating the need for high-priced PLC input cards just to accommodate a unique signal input from a newly added sensor. Offering a slim 6mm footprint, each of Red Lion's signal converters can accept or convert current, voltage, thermocouples, RTDs, resistance and pulsed input signals.

Compatible microstepping drive for Siemens Simatic ET200SP

Recently launched by Phytron GmbH and available from Mclennan, the TM StepDrive is designed specifically for the Simatic ET 200SP HA distributed and scalable I/O system. The compliance-tested microstepping drive is plug-and-play compatible with the Profinet-based Siemens PLC, enabling the seamless addition of motion control to automation systems in process control, packaging machinery, pick-and-place assembly lines and more. Available as a 24-48V DC supplied microstepping drive with adjustable peak current up to 5A, or as an indexer module with pulse-and-direction output for interfacing with more powerful external drive stages, the TM StepDrive is programmed from Siemens' STEP7 or TIA Portal as an application program or as a Simatic Technology Object.

New Dodge Safety Mount spherical roller bearings from ABB

ABB is launching Dodge Safety Mount spherical roller bearings with a built-in patented locking mechanism that reduces installation time by up to 75 per cent compared with traditional products. Best suited for bulk material and air-handling applications, the new bearing mounts by tightening fasteners instead of using a hammer and other tools. The new system also allows for simple installation and removal from the same side of the bearing, which means only one person is needed for the task.
