New 650W modular power supplies offer up to 10 outputs

TDK Corporation is launching the QM4 series of AC-DC modular power supplies, reducing the series' footprint by 15 per cent. The 108mm-wide QM4 can accept up to four single or dual output modules and a dual output standby/signal board to provide up to 10 outputs. All models in the QM series feature low acoustic noise and full MOPPs isolation. With medical and industrial safety certifications, the QM series is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including BF rated medical equipment, test and measurement, broadcast, communications and renewable energy.

New AI Core X AI edge computing board consumes minimal power

New from RDS is the AAEON AI Core X, an AI Edge Computing Board with Intel Movidius Myriad X VPU, MYDX x 1. It can reach 105 FPS and can perform over 1 trillion floating point operations per second as a dedicated neural network accelerator. The Myriad X is capable of processing video and performing facial recognition in real-time and as an ultra-low power VPU needs very little energy.

Pilz launches first safety system based on radar technology

Pilz says the latest addition to its portfolio of machinery safety products is the world's first safe system for protection zone monitoring based on radar technology. It comprises the LBK System safe radar from Inxpect SpA and the the Pilz PNOZmulti 2 compact configurable safety controller. The overall system provides safe, economical monitoring even in demanding environments - such as dusty woodworking production areas - or with complex plant structures. Benefits of the safe radar system include high plant or machine productivity, despite the the harsh environment. The safe radar system expands the Pilz PSEN family of safe sensors.

Miniature SMD test terminals suit wide range of probes

Nicomatic now has available a range of surface mount test terminals that can be used to attach a large range of test or oscilloscope probes to test zones on PCBs. Miniature C12000 series devices present a mechanical test hook interface on the SMD PCB which enables the operator to clip a test probe from a test rig or oscilloscope to the PCB.
