norelem introduces new range of suction hoses

With maintaining tool and machine life vital to manufacturing operations, norelem now offers a new range of suction hoses to ensure machinery can stay in tip-top condition. The flexible hoses, which are part of the LOC-LINE range of modular hoses, can be attached to a central extractor system or industrial vacuum cleaners. Once attached, they can be positioned next to machinery to extract swarf, smoke, lubricant mist, steam, gases and other media, which can be potentially damaging.

Phoenix Contact launches intelligent Ethernet extenders

Phoenix Contact TC extenders don't just extend simple point-to-point Ethernet paths via Plug-and-Play. All extender paths and devices can be easily monitored remotely using a single managed device via IP address. In the case of unexpected events such as a weakening of the path, this information is available via SNMP trap (Simple Network Management Protocol) and can be issued as a warning to one or more freely selectable network devices. Visitors to the SPS IPC Drives trade show in Nuremberg are able to get a closer look at this application at the main Phoenix Contact booth.

A4/ASTM 316 stainless steel fasteners for corrosive environments

With the addition of molybdenum, A4 stainless (ASTM 316) is significantly more resistant to corrosion than the more popular A2 (ASTM 304) and very little more expensive. ESAB upgrades Columbus III software and CutCloud

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products demonstrated its new Columbus III version 1.6 CAD/CAM software for mechanised cutting at EuroBLECH, which took place in Hannover, German in October. The new ESAB CutCloud 3.0 version utilises Microsoft Azure IoT and the ThingWorx Industrial Innovation Platform from PTC, which respectively allow for on-premise, hybrid and cloud based architectures and functionality to import and visualise machine data.
