Custom tube bender eliminates cut-off waste of tubular parts

Unison has won an order for a custom-designed tube bending machine and special tooling from Cybex International, manufacturer of premium physical exercise equipment. Incorporating a servo-driven wiper die mount, the machine has been specifically designed to enable Cybex to reduce waste material costs by eliminating the need to cut shorter tubular parts to length after bending.

For more than five decades Ginetta Cars has graced the British and international motorsports scene, and today the Leeds-based company continues to build upon its global reputation as a premier designer and manufacturer of high-performance road and race track cars as well as co-promoting numerous single-make race competitions all over the world. Variohm has worked with Ginetta for a number of years, supplying sensors to monitor pressure and temperature for a variety of applications on engine development projects as well as being fully utilised as part of engine control unit and data logging systems for race cars that are produced at the Leeds factory.
